Detailed Errors Report

The Detailed Errors Report displays the status of each selected link in the LinkScan database.

Use this report to examine the website errors.

The Detailed Errors Report provide numerous sort, select and layout options. For a simplified version see the Critical Errors Report. To find links with a specific Status Code (e.g. 404) see the Selected Status Codes Report.

Usage

This report displays the full status for each link in the LinkScan database. Options are provided to:

Select Internal Links, External Links, or All Links
Control the number of references displayed to a specific target link
Select the types of links included by status (e.g. Errors, Warnings)
Control the sort sequence and organization of the report

For each selected document/link, the report includes:

A hyperlink to the referring document with the document title
A hyperlink to the target URL with a short description
A five-digit number indicating the HTML source code line number within the referring document that points to the specific target URL
The status code and short description of each link
A hyperlink to a detailed description of the link status code
A hyperlink [Src] to a LinkScan/QuickCheck Report for the selected document. This optionally includes, the HTML source code of the document and the status of each link together with any HTML syntax errors
A hyperlink [Ref] (referers) to a report listing all of the documents that link to and from this document

Advanced

If selected, the Advanced Menu offers the following additional options:

Hide links extracted from JavaScript source
Apply Include/Exclude Filters
