Elsop Announces LinkScan Unlimited with Release 11.7
San Jose, CA, March 20, 2007. Electronic Software Publishing Corp. (Elsop) is pleased to announce the release of LinkScan 11.7.
Since its initial public release in January 1997, LinkScan has been the fastest, most scalable and flexible link checking product available. Now all of its power can be unleashed within the corporate enterprise with the introduction of a new licensing option: LinkScan Unlimited. This is a license that permits the scanning of an unlimited number of unique web pages (documents) on an unlimited number of physical computers that are owned or leased by the user.
LinkScan Unlimited is our response to customer needs for a truly enterprise wide solution to their quality assurance and maintenance needs for all intranet and Internet websites operated by the organization. LinkScan Unlimited has been tested in environments where millions of documents are scanned and tested in a single pass. There are no software limits to the amount of work or the size of the sites that LinkScan Unlimited can process.
This latest addition expands the LinkScan family of products to cover the needs of organizations large and small. At the entry level, LinkScan Workstation scans up to 500 documents and is priced at $750. LinkScan Unlimited is priced at $33,000.
Customers may upgrade from one edition of LinkScan to another at any time and receive full credit for their earlier investment in LinkScan licenses.
All editions of LinkScan 11.7 incorporate several new technical capabilities and features including:
We have fully tested LinkScan 11.7 with Windows Vista.
We have made several significant improvements to the PDF file parser (link extractor). Customers who scan significant numbers of PDF documents are strongly encouraged to install this new release.
We have enhanced the RelaxAnchor command to make the checking of named anchors a little more relaxed, consistent with the latest browsers.
We have enhanced the ExcludeHidden option to ignore <link ...> tags. The was done by popular demand because several common authoring tools including Microsoft Office tend to insert invalid, albeit harmless, link tags in the documents they create.
These developments underscore Elsop's ongoing commitment to meet the needs of organizations with very large intranet websites and public websites.
LinkScan is being used by such large and diverse organizations as American Airlines, Boeing, Cambridge University, Cisco Systems, Forbes, Ford, General Motors, Hewlett Packard, Intuit, Johnson & Johnson, Kaiser Permanente, Microsoft, MIT, NASA, New York Stock Exchange, Reuters, SAP, Stanford University, U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Postal Service, Verizon, Walgreens Pharmacy and Yahoo!
LinkScan operates on all Microsoft Windows, Macintosh OS X and Unix Systems. Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME, and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0/2000/2003/XP/Vista are all fully supported. Compatible Unix systems include AIX, BSDI, FreeBSD, Digital Unix, HP/UX, IRIX, all major Linux distributions, and SunOS/Solaris.
LinkScan Version 11.7 is a free upgrade to licensees with LinkScan 10.0 or later. Free fully functional evaluation copies of LinkScan 11.7 may be downloaded from the company's website at:
