The IRS and the InterNIC

Why do I feel like the IRS and the InterNIC are run by the same people?

Heh ... quote file ...!

Now that is a battle that I'd love to see:

IRS: "Greetings, InterNIC. Please assign us a block of 16,211 IP addresses, and a new domain name of 'taxesRus'. We require this by next Friday, at the latest."

NIC: "We're sorry, IRS ... we can't do that until we receive an official notification from the Administrator who first represented you, from their original hosting site at 'taxUtaxMe'.

And we cannot assign the 'taxesRus' domain at all, since is owned and trademarked by a company in East Podunk Flats, AR."

IRS: "Dear NIC ... perhaps you misunderstood our previous request. In particular we said 'WE REQUIRE', and 'NEXT FRIDAY'. And by the way, you have been randomly selected for a complete level 9 audit. Have a nice day."

NIC: "That's fine, IRS. You will still not get the addresses, nor the requested domain name. As for the audit, we are pleased to comply, and hope you have an enjoyable time sifting through our various templates."
...
...
...
Etc,
etc,
etc.
